The television tower is situated on the summit with the same name – Snezhanka (1926m). The tower’s construction started in 1973, and five years later it was finished and opened to public. With its 156m height, the tower is the most recognizable landmark of the Pamporovo resort.

The facility is cylindrical and has two rings. The lower ring holds technical equipment, providing the transmission of the television signal in the area. The upper ring has a panoramic terrace and a restaurant providing a 360 degree view to the surrounding mountain.

You can reach the tower in three ways depending on the season. In wintertime it is best and easiest to use one of the lifts going to the summit (lift No. 2, 4, 5 and 6). In summer you can use either lifts No. 2 and 4 or the new asphalt road to the tower.

The TV tower on the Snezhanka summit is listed in the 100 Tourist Sites in Bulgaria with number 84.
