Rhodope Adventure: The Wonderful Bridges, Zabardo Eco Trail, and a Flight Over Chepelare

Immerse yourself in the magic of the Rhodope Mountains with an exciting journey to one of Bulgaria’s most stunning natural wonders – The Wonderful Bridges, combined with a scenic walk along the Zabardo Eco Trail and an unforgettable zipline flight.

We depart from the Tourist Information Center in Pamporovo by organized transport toward the Rhodope village of Zabardo. From there, we begin our hike to the iconic rock formation – two majestic marble arches created by nature at the foot of Mount Golyam Persenk (2,091 m). Located at 1,450 m above sea level, the Wonderful Bridges were formed as a result of an ancient earthquake and millennia of natural erosion.

We’ll enjoy a peaceful walk along the eco trail from Zabardo to the Wonderful Bridges – a route that offers not only fresh mountain air, but also poetic views of the surrounding peaks, chapels, shaded fountains with spring water, and the unique tranquility of the Rhodope Mountains.

On the way back to Pamporovo, we’ll stop just before the town of Chepelare for a thrilling experience – a flight on the longest alpine zipline in Bulgaria (600 m), soaring over a picturesque valley. The special face-down descent system provides a true sensation of flying – adrenaline and freedom in one!

After this exciting day, we return to Pamporovo, recharged with energy and inspired by the majesty of nature.
