Pamporovo and the Lakes – A Journey through the Heart of the Rhodopes
Our adventure begins at the bike station on Studenets, one of the most vibrant spots in the resort. After a quick preparation, we set off south towards Prevala, following the picturesque cross-country ski trail. The route winds through a mixed forest, where towering pines alternate with beautiful broadleaf trees, creating a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere. The scent of pine resin and the crisp mountain air fill every breath!
Upon reaching Prevala, the journey continues with a gentle descent along an asphalt road, leading us to one of the most enchanting places in the region – the Smolyan Lakes. Here, nature unveils its full splendor as we pass by Lake Lagera, Grassy Lake (Trivistoto), and Clear Lake (Bistroto). Beyond Clear Lake, the route takes us through stunning mountain meadows on our way towards the town of Smolyan.
We finish our adventure just before entering the town, where a shuttle will take us back to the starting point. Perfect for mountain enthusiasts, this tour offers an exhilarating way to rediscover Pamporovo and its surroundings on two wheels, all while soaking in the untouched beauty of the Rhodopes and the refreshing scent of the pine forests.
