Canyon of waterfalls tour
The “Canyon of Waterfalls” tour offers a truly unique experience, revealing a more mysterious and captivating side of the Rhodope Mountains and its stunning natural beauty. We begin with organised transport from the Tourist Information Centre in Pamporovo, heading towards Smolyan and on towards the village of Mugla. Just beyond the town, we start our hike – a picturesque circular trail that takes us deep into this natural wonder.
After crossing the first bridge, we follow an ascending path that guides us through a series of waterfalls, crossing the river on beautiful wooden footbridges. The water flows gracefully over the rocks, and the cool, fresh air of the forest makes the experience unforgettable. Along the way, we’ll visit two stunning waterfalls: Orpheus, where the water cascades in the shape of a lyre, and The Heart, where the waters divide into two streams, forming the shape of a heart.
Once we’ve taken in these natural wonders, we continue to the first panoramic viewpoint, offering sweeping views over Smolyan. The route continues with a gentle descent along a winding path, crossing to the other side of the canyon. We stop at two more panoramic spots, offering more breathtaking views of the waterfalls and the surrounding green hills.
Every journey has its end. At the end of ours, we return to the bridge where our adventure began, where transport will be waiting to take us back to Pamporovo.
