Nevyastata adventure
“Nevyastata” tour is an easy route, ideal for those who enjoy long walks in nature. We set off from the Tourist Information Centre in Pamporovo with organised transport, heading towards the picturesque surroundings of Smolyan. After a short, 15-minute drive, we reach the starting point of the route and embark on the adventure.
After about a 30-minute walk, we will reach our first stop – the ancient Thracian fortress of Aetos, located on a rocky peak above the town. Its centuries-old stone walls still hold memories of ancient battles and legends, and from the top, there is a stunning view of Smolyan and the surrounding ridges. We will have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in history and capture impressive photographs against the panoramic backdrop of the Rhodope Mountains.
We continue towards one of the most spectacular spots in the mountain – the eco trail “The Bride”. It leads us along a 900-metre route through cool pine forests, filled with the scent of resin and freshness. Along the way, we pass three panoramic viewpoints where we can enjoy beautiful vistas. But the most impressive of all is the one from the “Bride” rock – Smolyan town and its surroundings, Kiryanov’s pond (or the familiar Ribkata lake), the Red Rock, the majestic Perelik peak, and the green hills of Pamporovo.
The route ends with the amazing option to climb the Via Ferrata and return to Pamporovo.
